How to Choose Perfect Wedding Venue…?

Wedding preparations begin with choosing the wedding venue. If the bride and groom reside in different cities then things begin with choosing the city. Many a times people also choose to get married in their home town which might be away from their current residence.
So what appears in your head when you think about where you want to get married? For people who are not short of money and want to give their guests a luxurious welcome would look for popular wedding venues, or new wedding venue(venue that most of your guests haven’t visited yet), or a luxurious wedding venue or a specific tourist/entertainment/honeymoon destinations like beach wedding venues or Vegas wedding venues.
Usually people search for wedding venues on internet only using keywords like best wedding venues or affordable wedding venues or best rated wedding venues in the city.
However simply searching using such general keywords is just a beginning. There are lot of factors to be considered when choosing a wedding venue. After all the words like best, affordable, cheap , luxurious are relative and differs from person to person.
Below are the factors on the basis of which you must filter your wedding venue instead of generic keyword searches.

1. Budget

Wedding is a function that is very close to heart and people often end up shelling out more than planned. It is very important to plan the wedding budget and assign the maximum that you would like to be spend for different wedding activities /things. Use a top down approach and decide on what is the maximum you would want to spend on wedding venue.

2. Number of Guests

It is very important to have a guest list before you finalize on the venue to avoid chaos on your special day. People often consider their friends/relative list only and ignores list of their parents, siblings and any other close relative’s list. Consider all guests whom you want to invite and prepare initial list to get an approximate count of guests.

3. Capacity of the wedding Venue

Choose a venue whose capacity is at least 10 percent more than the expected number of guests. Check capacity of the venue and photos to get an idea of number of guests it can accommodate fairly. Venue capacity would again differ depending on the seating arrangements at the venue. For example round table sitting arrangements will accommodate less people as compared to row sitting arrangement.

4. Venue manager

Check the availability of the venue manager for all the dates you plan to reserve the venue for. Many a times it happens that only a receptionist is present at the venue during the wedding and any help or services during the function is not available. This becomes important in case too many people turn up at your wedding or in case of any uncalled event/emergency.

5. Functions and ceremonies

Count the number of ceremonies you are to organize and try to fit them into minimum number of days to make optimum utilization of the venue. For example, Indians have multiple ceremonies like, mehendi, Sangeetm Ganesh pujan, Mata ki Chauki, etc. So if you had few of them at the venue, this will save time and money as separate arrangements at your own place will not be required.

6. Guest Accomodation

If you are expecting more guests from outside the city, it becomes important to arrange for their accommodation. A venue that provides guest accommodation can help you keep away from any worries of providing facility of local travel from guest house to wedding venue.

7. Bride and Groom Room

Check if the wedding venue provides separate bride and groom room. This will ensure that you and your spouse can comfortably dress up, touch up and freshen up comfortably with all the privacy.

8. Parking Facility

Parking is most ignored factor but must be considered before finalizing the venue. If many guests are expected to turn up in their own vehicle, there should be some provision of parking at the venue. Have proper discussion with your venue manager about how many cars, bike can be parked in Venue parking area. Also check in case venue parking is full, what options are available near the venue which your guests can use in case venue parking is full.
Hope this helps you to choose your wedding venue.

My wedding venue story

Everyone wants their wedding to be a fairy tale. Wedding is such a special occasion where besides the bride and groom, their family and relatives equally wish to make the event a special one.

Wedding venue
      A) Forms the first impression of your wedding arrangements in the eyes of your guests.
      B) Becomes the background of every moment of your wedding that is captured by photographers.
C)Ambiance and surroundings play an important role in creating a positive and romantic mood of the wedding.

I very well remember the day when I was looking for all the alternatives for my wedding venue. Unfortunately I couldn't find, any one stop where I can get a list of all the venues at the desired location. . I had wasted enough of my time to call various wedding venues, and had prepared myself for a very simple, small wedding venue.

But then to my biggest surprise, my family suggested and then booked a venue for my wedding.

The first time I saw the wedding venue, it took minutes for me to control my big smile. I couldn't believe for days together that I will be getting married at such a grand location. All this without going over the planned budgetJ
I still keep bragging about my wedding venue whenever someone recalls about that special day.

Good Wedding Venues certainly make the bride and groom feel special about themselves and makes a lasting impression on guests as well..

I wish all the visitors of http://eventovenues.com are able to select the best wedding venue without having to stretch much on their pockets.
